John Foster sworn in as Billings councillor
John Foster was sworn in as Billings' new councillor after being appointed to fill a vacancy. He plans to learn the ropes this summer before running for a full seat in this fall's election.

KAGAWONG鈥擶hile he will be running in this fall鈥檚 municipal election, Billings鈥 new councillor, John Foster, said he is looking forward to working and learning from council during the rest of this council鈥檚 term of office.
鈥淪incere congratulations and a warm welcome to council,鈥 stated Billings Mayor Bryan Barker at a recent council meeting in which Mr. Foster was sworn in as the new councillor. 鈥淚 look forward to working together with you and for the best of the community.鈥
鈥淲elcome to Billings council,鈥 said Councillor Dave Hillyard.
鈥淚t is going to be exciting,鈥 Mr. Foster told The Expositor. 鈥淚 have always been interested in government. Serving on a municipal council is like volunteer work in terms of serving a community, so this will be my way of giving back to the community.鈥
