Ottawa 67’s defenceman and Manitoulin native Kohyn Eshkawkogan has committed to NCAA Division 1 Penn State for the 2027–2028 season, following a stellar 53-point OHL campaign.
MANITOULIN—Ottawa 67’s defenceman Kohyn Eshkawkogan has officially committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey with the Penn State Nittany Lions, beginning in the 2027-2028 season.
The 2008-born defenceman from Manitoulin Island chose Penn State after an extensive recruitment process that included several of the nation’s premier NCAA hockey programs.
“From my first conversations with the coaching staff, I felt how strongly they believed in me as both a player and a person,” said Mr. Eshkawkogan “Penn State has an incredible hockey culture, outstanding facilities and a passionate community. I’m extremely excited to become a Nittany Lion and continue pursuing my academic and hockey goals.”
