Little Current’s Doric Lodge No. 455 is hosting an Open House on September 19 at 11 a.m. at 22 Campbell St. W. as it prepares to celebrate 125 years of community involvement in 2027.
Little Current’s Doric Lodge No 455 is making plans to celebrate 125 years of Freemasonry involvement with our community in 2027. Over the years, many local men and families have been involved in the lodge here and have contributed to the betterment of the community quietly and consistently. While Freemasonry does not count itself among the service clubs and organizations that work so hard for our area, they do look for opportunities to improve the lives of many where there is a need. Over the past 125 years, they have contributed scholarships to worthy students, relief where needed, supported medical research and much more.
You may have noticed some new signs as you enter Little Current indicating Doric Lodge # 455 and its meeting time (the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm). These are a part of the effort to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Lodge in Little Current and to remind locals that there is a lodge here that is always open to men who are looking to be involved in an organization that focuses on improving and strengthening the community, the family and especially the individual. The Masonic Fraternity is hundreds of years old and has maintained its goal of improving society locally, internationally, quietly and consistently in all its efforts.
