Match making Mondays at the Anchor Inn
Marc Peters is hosting “Matchmaking Monday” at Little Current’s Anchor Inn on June 1. The speed dating event aims to help singles in their 20s and 30s connect and combat social isolation on the Island.

LITTLE CURRENT—Marc Peters is about to try something new at the Anchor Inn on Monday, June 1. New to the Island, and new to Marc Peters. He will host the first ‘Matchmaking Monday,’ geared toward single individuals in their 20s to 30s.
“This is my first run at it,” Mr. Peters said. “I’ve never done any speed dating myself. I’ve never seen any speed dating. And I think that’s a good thing, you know? I think sometimes if people are going to do something, it’s better not to be influenced by past things,” he explained.
Because he ran a Karaoke night at the Anchor in the past, with less than stellar results, he’s hoping to have a more enthusiastic response with this venue. “It’s just supposed to be friendly, you know, the rounds, it’s going to be pretty short, a couple minutes per person.”
