BMO鈥檚 $200,000 gift helps  build new St. Joseph鈥檚 Lodge  and supports the Angel Bus

BMO donated $200,000 to St. Joseph鈥檚 Foundation: $185,000 will fund the new 64-bed St. Joseph鈥檚 Lodge in Gore Bay, and $14,500 will expand the Angel Bus accessible transportation program.

The Gore Bay Museum is hosting "Heartfelt Heritage 鈥 Manitoulin Roots," an exhibition of Christie Pearson Anderson鈥檚 paintings and drawings capturing Island history. The show runs until August 29.

Chinook salmon stocked with help of Gore Bay students

Students at C.C. McLean and Central Manitoulin Public School released over 200 Chinook salmon into local waterways. The fish were raised from eggs in school micro-hatcheries as part of a 10-year partnership with the Gore Bay Fish and Game Club.
