GORE BAY鈥擩udging by the response of many participants, some of whom were displaying their works for the first time, the first Manitoulin Fibre Arts Festival was a huge success!

鈥淔estivals like this are few and far between,鈥 stated fibre artist Karen Doucette, of Espanola. 鈥淪o, when a festival and venue like this are presented, you want to take advantage of it.鈥

鈥淭his festival is fabulous,鈥 stated Ms. Doucette. 鈥淭his is my very first show, and to be involved with all these fantastic, talented people is incredible. And this is a great chance to talk to other fibre artists,鈥
