Wiikwemkoong youth showcased their improv and video skills at a Youth Comedy Club finale, partnering with local organizations to build confidence through traditional storytelling.
WIIKWEMKOONG鈥擜 partnership between Wiikwemkoong鈥檚 Wassa Naabin Youth Centre, Child and Family Services and Debajehmujig Storytellers engaged youth in a Youth Comedy Club aimed at building confidence among the community鈥檚 youth.
Writers, producers and editors for the program were Taiya Gonawabi, Treilyn Gonawabi and Evander Shawana鈥攂ut the real stars of the evening were the youth taking to the stage to demonstrate their newly acquired improv chops.
Taking part in the camp were Serena Enosse (10), Olivia Wemigwans (13), Jayson Bondy (14), Serenity Eshkawkogan (9), Tazanna Esquimaux-Roy (8), Elias Eshkibok-Pitawanakwat (8), Zoey Recollet (12), Wiingushk Eshkibok (9) and Lincoln Pheasant (12).
