WIIKWEMKOONG, ON – June 25, 2026 —  Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service (WTPS)  arrested two individuals  on June 21, 2026, at approximately 5:50 p.m., after receiving a traffic complaint about an ATV on Wikwemikong Way.
Officers attended and located the ATV with a female driver and male passenger. The driver, 29-
Stephanie Trudeau, 52, of Wiikwemkoong was arrested during a traffic stop and charged with drug trafficking after police seized $8,300 in cocaine and over $4,000 in cash. Trudeau was already out on bail for prior drug offenses.
Carol Pitawanakwat of Wiikwemkoong nearly died after being mauled by a neighbor's pitbull. She suffered severe arm and scalp injuries, lost significant blood, and intends to have the dog put down.
The Wikwemikong Tribal Police will publicly name adults charged with serious drug and gun crimes to address rising local violence and support community transparency and safety initiatives.
