TEHKUMMAH—While the breakdown of costs for work on the Bowerman trails in Tehkummah township will not be determined until the township’s 2024 audit is complete, it appears a grant that the township had received for this project and others has already been spent.

In an update provided to council at a regular meeting on April 7, deputy clerk Susan Hart said, “We have done lots of research on this, and it ties in with information that we are going to get from the audit being completed,” said Ms. Hart. “However, it does look like all the money available to the township from this grant was spent.”

Ms. Hart explained under the downtown revitalization project grant, there were funds provided for renovations to the John Budd Park, the kitchen, marina and the Bowerman trails.
