Dawn Noble McCann, a school grad and 22-year educator, began as principal of Gore Bay's Charles C. McLean Public School on August 26, 2026.

GORE BAY鈥擟harles C. McLean Public School welcomes a new principal, a grad of the institution as it happens.
According to a press release from the Rainbow District School Board, Dawn Noble McCann assumed the leadership role effective August 26.
The release goes on to note that Principal Noble McCann鈥檚 career in education began 22 years ago. 鈥淪he joined Manitoulin Secondary School in 2005, where she taught Family Studies, Social Sciences and Empower programming to students in Grades 9 to 12. In 2020, she was appointed vice-principal of Manitoulin Secondary School鈥攁 position she held until 2023.鈥
