MANITOULIN鈥擜 press release from the OPP has announced the appointment of Inspector Mike Salminen as the new commander of the Manitoulin OPP Detachment.
Inspector Salminen brings his 27 years of policing experience, across both municipal policing and the OPP, and a wealth of operational and leadership experience.
The release notes he is excited to begin serving the communities within the Manitoulin OPP Detachment cluster.

Inspector Salminen replaces Inspector John Walsh, who was appointed commander in 2023.
