SANDY (DOUGLAS ALEXANDER) BUCHAN
Sandy (Douglas Alexander) Buchan passed away peacefully at the Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay on Saturday, December 14, 2019 in his 89th year with his family by his side. Sandy will be sadly missed by his daughters Wendy Mackan, Mary-Lea Buchan (Bob Third) and Vanesa Jo Woods (Jim). Cherished grandfather to Heather Gain (Ryan), Stacey Kelly (Shawn), Beverly Wright (Trevor), Patti Jo Woods (Christopher) and Deborah Woods and great grandfather to Rilyn Gain, Keegan Gain, Hunter Kelly, Hailey Kelly, Gabriel Wright and Alexandria Wright. He will be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Norma Buchan and Lee Buchan. Sandy is predeceased by his wife Vanesa (Wright) Buchan, parents Peter and Sarah (鈥淪adie鈥 Harper) Buchan, brothers Peter and Walter and son-in-law Bob Gioventu. At Sandy鈥檚 request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Lyon鈥檚 Memorial United Church or the Manitoulin Lodge Auxiliary as expressions of sympathy can be made through www.simpsonfuneralhome.ca.
