Wiikwemkoong Child and Family Services opened a temporary office space for its staff while planning a permanent building. The event also featured remarks from leadership and shared experiences from youth who attended an Assembly of 91成人导航s gathering in Ottawa.
WIIKWEMKOONG鈥擶iikwemkoong Child and Family Services (CFS) celebrated the opening of a new set of offices that will house more than 70 employees temporarily while new, permanent digs are built in the community. The opening included remarks by Wiikwemkoong Ogimaa Tim Ominika, Councillor Bernadine Francis (Health and Social Well-being Pillar) and CFS Director Anna McGregor. After an introduction to their staff, they had a ribbon cutting and cake cutting ceremony.
鈥淚 want to recognize Anna McGregor and the entire Child and Family Services team,鈥 said Ogimaa Tim Ominika. 鈥淵our work is not always easy. You support people during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Much of what you do happens quietly and behind the scenes, but it makes a real difference for our children and families. Thank you for continuing to show up, for caring and for putting our community first.鈥
