PROVIDENCE BAY鈥擱egardless of some of the nonsense going on throughout the world, one thing that you can always count on if you live on Manitoulin Island is a truly outstanding Providence Bay Agricultural Society Fair. Checkmark the 143rd annual fair as being a huge success!

This event brings the entire community of Manitoulin Island together. From the awesome display of talent, speed, teamwork and precision put on by the newly formed North Channel Cowgirls 4H Equine drill team early Friday evening to start off the weekend to the English riding show to conclude the weekend there was something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

鈥淕ood evening and welcome to the 143rd annual Providence Bay Fair,鈥 stated Karlene Scott, agriculture fair society director, who was master of ceremonies for the opening ceremonies Friday evening. 鈥淲e are still missing (the late) Norm Morrell, our master of ceremonies for many years.鈥
