Professional hockey player Kelly Babstock hosted her Indigenous Hockey Camp at the Espanola complex rink from August 18 to 20, bringing together around 100 youth ages 5 to 16 from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory for three days of skill development, mentorship, and on-ice fun.
WIIKWEMKOONG鈥擨n an effort to inspire, motivate and help guide young hockey players to pursue their dreams, star hockey player and Wiikwemkoong band member Kelly Babstock hosted a hockey camp in Espanola in August for young hockey players (both boys and girls between the age of 5-16) from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.
Ms. Babstock, who was born in Little Current but grew up in Wiikwemkoong, held the Indigenous Hockey Camp August 18-20 with approximately 100 youngsters taking part. The camp was held in the Espanola complex rink.
