Nooj hosts Mnidoo Mnising Elementary School badminton championships
AUNDECK OMNI KANING—On Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9, Noojmowin Teg Health Centre hosted the annual Mnidoo Mnising Elementary School Badminton Championships in partnership with the local schools and school boards across the district. The event once again grew to a record number: 52 junior athletes (Grades 5-6) and 50 senior athletes (Grades 7-8) for a two day total of 102 athletes.
Day one, featuring the junior division, fell behind schedule and a few schools had to leave before the finals, thus forfeiting their matches.
