M鈥機higeeng residents are safe after police resolved a Friday incident involving a potentially armed individual. The eight-hour shelter-in-place order has been lifted, and the investigation continues.
M鈥機HIGEENG鈥擳he Manitoulin detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin (UCMM) Anishnaabe Police Services advised members of the public in M鈥機higeeng 91成人导航 that a shelter-in place that had been in place for approximately eight and a half hours last Friday, was lifted.
On Friday, July 10 a shelter-in-place advisory was put into effect at approximately 9 am in response to an incident involving a potentially armed individual in the area of Mnaawnkwad Drive and Riverside Drive.
At approximately 5:30 pm, the situation was resolved without incident. However, the investigation continues. No further information will be released at this time.
